About Us
Yolanda’s first opened its doors in Monaca in October of 1987 when Pete Samovoski realized his lifelong dream of opening an Italian restaurant. His friends, relatives and even vendors tried to talk him out of the endeavor, insisting that a restaurant would never make it in the small town. But Pete, a carpenter by trade, had faith and despite their warnings, converted his parents’ gas station/car wash, located next to the “old Monaca toll bridge,” into what would become a Monaca landmark. It has been thriving at that location ever since.
